The history of the Telheiro do Infante restaurant, goes back to the 20th century and the year 1910, with the great-grandfather of the current owner, and in this precise location, to found a small brick and clay tile factory, using the clay terrain characteristic of this beach that takes the name of the old water reservoirs that supplied the population and the cattle, called maretas, de clay, around 1910. The evolution of the times questioned the maintenance of the activity, giving rise to the idea of building a simple restaurant, the that happened in 1976. Thirteen years passed and in 1989 its requalification was transformed into the current structure with two floors and high quality standards that we maintain, valuing sea and regional products with attention to dishes of international value, honoring the large number of foreigners who visit us every year.
Located by the Mareta Beach, an excellent restaurant, where the Fresh Fish and the Specials are highly recommended: Lobster Rice Pot, Rice Dish with Fish and Seafood and the Monkfish Cataplana.
